MAUREEN SCHROEDER VICE PRESIDENT VICTIM ADVOCATE

MAUREEN SCHROEDER Maureen Schroeder was born and raised in Cowlitz County, (Longview-Kelso area) Washington. She graduated from R. A. Long High School. After earning an Associate of Arts Degree from Lower Columbia College, she married her college sweetheart, Bob Schroeder. Together, they raised two children, Tim and Tracy. Maureen delights in being a Grandma to Ashley Schroeder. Maureen earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Lower Columbia College. She returned to college when her children were in high school. In 1989, she completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Resource Management from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. This was the same year her son graduated from high school. Maureen was hired in the Cowlitz County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in 1983 as the Victim Witness Secretary and was promoted to Victim Witness Program Manager. She, additionally, worked in the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney's Office (Vancouver, Washington) as a Victim Advocate. In 1989, she was hired as a Probation Office by the Cowlitz County Corrections Department. When she and Bob moved to Las Vegas, she was hired by the Clark County District Attorney's Office as a Victim Advocate. She became the Advocate for the Vehicular Crimes Specialty Unit for approximately 10 years. Eventually, her husband Bob was assigned to that team as the Investigator. To our knowledge, they were the first husband and wife to work together on the same specialty team. Maureen retired in 2011 and moved back to Washington. In 2015, the Schroeder's moved back to Las Vegas where they have volunteered for the Victim Impact Panels with STOP DUI. In retirement, Maureen enjoys traveling, loves to read and meet up with friends. << Back to Bios
